The 2015 Round of the Indie Design Gift-a-long is in progress! Be sure to post your progress photos and finished objects in the threads on Ravelry.
Throughout November and December, I am writing blog posts to feature some of my designs, my works in progress and showcase other participating designers. I hope you enjoy the links and I certainly hope you join the fun and prizes over on Ravelry.
Today is Dec 3 and the fifteenth official day of the Gift-A-Long.
I’m back home after some holiday travel and scrambling to deal with my debit card theft (total yuck- police reports, notarized statements for bank – total yuck).
As for crafting, I’m also trying to crochet a few flowers for an upcoming yarn bomb collaboration.
Today I’m featuring one of my favorite designs. Sunset Beach Scarf.
I designed this while staying in Vancouver with my man. His apartment is a short walk from Sunset Beach in downtown. It is a popular spot on the English Bay for sunbathing and kayaking. The sun playing off the gentle waves is truly a sight to behold. The soft waves in the scarf are meant to evoke that romantic feeling of watching the sun set on the beach with your lover.
This sample was knit with yarn from a local Vancouver dyer, RainCityKnits. Be sure to check out her store. Her yarns are amazing.
Happy Knitting! Join the fun on ravelry.
